Regio-Jobanzeiger is a portal solution we developed that enables the Regio-Jobanzeiger team to easily create and manage multiple job portals for different regions and professions. Each portal can have its own unique design and configuration, all while being centrally managed.
Regio-Jobanzeiger is a network of more than 90 regional job portals that help job seekers find local opportunities across cities, regions, and industries throughout Germany and Austria. Initially launched as an extension of the Yourfirm project, Regio-Jobanzeiger quickly gained momentum and grew into an independent platform with its own identity and brands.
We developed a flexible, scalable web application that allows the Regio-Jobanzeiger team to easily create, configure, and manage new portals with just a few clicks. Each portal can have its own branding, custom look and feel, and unique feature sets. This means that each one can visually and functionally cater to its specific target audience.
The platform supports region-specific configurations, for example, legally required job details, specialized disclaimers, or unique notification requirements. This ensures that each site not only meets regional legal standards but also delivers relevant content and features that matter locally.
Despite this high level of flexibility, all portals are centrally managed through a unified interface. The Regio-Jobanzeiger team can handle job listings, portal content, and configuration updates in one place. This centralized management makes it possible to maintain quality and consistency while still supporting each portal’s individuality.
What made this project exciting was the balance between flexibility and control. On the one hand, each portal needed to feel unique and serve its specific audience, but on the other hand, the system needed to remain efficient and centrally managed.
We designed the architecture in a way that allowed portal-specific branding, content, and settings without having to reinvent the wheel for every new site. This meant the Regio-Jobanzeiger team could spin up new portals quickly, scale easily, and manage everything efficiently from one place.
Seeing how the platform grew from being an extension of the Yourfirm project into its own fully-fledged ecosystem, with over 90 live portals, was a proud moment for us. It was the perfect example of building with future growth in mind.
Imagine you have a successful site, and you realize the same concept could work in another market, for example, the neighboring country. Your initial instinct might be to copy the existing site, make the necessary changes, and launch. However, this approach quickly becomes problematic.
In our previous post, we discussed the advantages and challenges of portal management systems. However, that post was purely theoretical, and we thought it would be a good idea to show you one in action. The portal we are going to talk about is one we built for Yourfirm.de.
